Our Story

An Italian-American restaurant in Salt Point

The Blue Door is an Italian-American restaurant in Salt Point, New York, on Route 44 between Pleasant Valley and Millbrook, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We serve dry-aged steaks and chops, Italian classics, and fresh seafood in a warm, welcoming dining room — the neighborhood restaurant Dutchess County keeps coming back to.

Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday with a full bar, craft cocktails, happy hour, live music, and a private dining room for celebrations. Dine in, or call ahead for pick-up.

Our mission is to create a place where locals gather, connect, and enjoy a night out — serving honest food, thoughtful drinks, and an atmosphere that feels as comfortable as it is elevated.
